A voter’s expectations

Having gone to the low ebb in political standards recently in Karnataka and to avoid such third-rate politics, much is expected of the Election Commission. It can lay down a few rules for politicians: minimum qualifications, retirement age at 60, no court cases irrespective of civil or criminal, rule to honour agreements, holding office of profit as offence one year field work with farmers, one year service in army, navy or air force, one year service with NHRC. EC can make voters to elect chief ministers and prime ministers.
