Of crafts from across the country

An Orissa Crafts Utsav will be organised from January 4 to 13, 10 a.m. to 9.30 p.m., at Vijayraja Kalyana Mandapam, No. 58, First Avenue, Sastri Nagar, Adyar.

As many as 30 craftspersons from different parts of the country are participating in the exhibition.

On display will be Orissa silk and cotton saris, Punjabi phulkari embroidered dress materials, Bengal cotton saris, silk saris and dupattas from Gujarat and Mangalgiri saris and dress materials.

For those interested in decking up their homes, there will be traditional paintings and stone carvings from Orissa, terracotta artefacts from Kolkata, wooden toys, Rajasthani paintings, carpets and Ravi Varma prints.
