Year-end ritual

Come New Year, people from six to sixty are filled with joy and expectations of what the forthcoming year will bring. Most individuals resolve to shed bad habits. A resolution is a positive indicator of a person’s personality, irrespective of whether it is implemented or not. For, a resolution is the result of a deep soul searching and self introspection. It gives us an opportunity to identify our shortcomings and overcome them. Adopting a resolution has become a year-end ritual, fancied mostly by teenagers. Some of the common resolutions are regular workouts and following a diet. Those interested go ahead. Pick your choice. For those, like me, who do not believe in such promises, relax, be happy and do not bother about tomorrow.
