Girl children


The number of girl children attending schools has increased. Various programmes such as free cycles to girl students have helped. The gap between the school attendance of boys and girls has reduced. Government agencies and NGOs organised more awareness programmes for adolescent girls. In 2008, I hope less girl children and foetuses are killed. It requires an attitudinal change. No drastic change can come overnight. I hope the change begins.
