Considered a child prodigy he received national media attention and was a product of the famed West Ham United youth system. Reportedly Manchester United was ready to offer 10 million pounds sterling for his services when he was only 16 years old.

Australian cricketer Brad Hogg loves to bowl to Indian batsmen because he considers it a big challenge. He feels that Indian batsmen are the best players of spin bowling and as a spinner he says it brings out the best from him. He also says that it is important for any aspiring spin bowler to develop a lot of patience.

South African cricketer Makhaya Ntini came from humble beginnings in his home village of Mdingi in the Eastern Cape region of the country. His snappy bowling action, often angling the ball into the right hander, was modelled on the famous West Indian fast bowler Malcolm Marshall.
