Hard - hitting

Noted Hindi film director Rajkumar Santoshi has come out with a hard-hitting film "Halla Bol", starring Ajay Devgan, Vidya Balan and Pankaj Kapoor. The story is about a small town guy (Ajay Devgan) aspiring to become a Bollywood star. He joins a street theatre group run by a reformed dacoit (Pankaj Kapoor) and from there graduates to doing bit roles in films and finally emerges as a superstar! However, the system corrupts him and he gets alienated from his wife (Vidya Balan); a shocking incident takes place at a Bollywood party which changes the course of his life. The film is said to be based on the `Jessica Lal murder case'.
