After a dismal 2007, the Telugu film industry is looking forward to Sankranthi, the biggest festival season in Andhra Pradesh. This time, four big budget films in different genres are ready for release. Balakrishna's much delayed Okka Mogudu, directed by YVS Chowdary, is an action packed film with Anushka in the lead. Simran makes a special appearance in the film. "Krishna" has Ravi Teja and Trisha teaming up for the first time. A romantic comedy laced with action, it is directed by V. V. Vinayak. "Pourudu", featuring Sumanth and Kajal Agarwal, is an action flick high on father-son sentiment. It is directed by Raj Aditya. Noted producer M. S. Raju's directorial debut "Vaana" with Vinay and Meera Chopra (Nila) in the lead is a remake of "Mungare Male", the Kannada blockbuster.
