Routine

Rain playing havoc has become an annual affair in Tamil Nadu in general and Tiruchi in particular. Since storm water drains are encroached upon by unscrupulous elements, during the rainy season residential areas get flooded throwing normal life of citizens out of gear. Instead of finding a permanent solution to this perennial problem, the people at the helm of affairs make hurricane visits to flooded areas and shed crocodile tears. They vanish from the scene after making tall promises. The gullible public is always taken for a ride. People should keep up their pressure on the administration throughout the year to save themselves from floods.

H. Ghouse Baig,
Tiruchi-12.
