Lola Kutty’s five sisters will take over television now
|

If one Lola wasn’t funny and outlandish enough, five more will take over the small screen and each ones promises to be a riot. Five Lola look-alikes will co-host [V] Bollytin, a ‘news breaking show’ that promises
to take viewers into the ‘shocking, real world of Bollywood.’
The original Lola, Lola Kutty one of the sextuplets explains how they found each other.
“Each of my sisters realised they had a mole on the chin and when we realised that, we came together.” Now Lola Kutty will take a sabbatical and will be boy hunting in her homeland Kerala. Her sisters, Simple Salma, Nightly Neeta, Loudly Lolita, Whetherly Hill and Healthy Helen will play reporters and co-host the show.
Anuradha Menon, the real face behind all six characters says, “Playing all these characters is very demanding- physically and mentally.” Not only is the make-up, look and costume for each character different, but their personalities differ as well.
Simple Salma is the newsreader, who bears an uncanny resemblance to a famous news reader will be the butt of jokes of the other four, who also form her team of reporters.
Anuradha explains the characteristic of her five sisters, “We used the way she dresses and talks as a reference point. Nightly Neeta is a wannabe socialite whose favourite line is, “I’m Nightly Neeta, your Bollywood Cheetah!’
Anuradha adds jokingly, “After playing so many characters, I’ve told my producers they’ll have to pay my doctors bills if I turn schizophrenic! I’m waiting for lawyer to get back with the revised contract!”
Loudly Lolita dresses like a stereotype journalist and takes it upon herself to deliver breaking news in her own ‘new’ style of English while Whetherly Hills is the flirtatious weather reporter.
“Healthy Helen is this big loud character hosts a fitness segment who gets thrown out of the army for being unfit and decides to set the world right with her exercise programme. I wear a fat suit while playing this character,” says Anuradha.
While her sisters take the small screen by storm, Lola will also host a show on Bollywood shooting locales in the U.K, but till then catch [V] Bollytin every Friday at 7.30pm on Channel [V].
