Marathon runner Mebrahtom "Meb" Keflezighi was born May 5, 1975 in Asmara, Eritrea. He and his family were refugees from Eritrea who came to USA via Italy. He became a naturalised citizen of the United States in 1998 and has since then won many honours for USA in international competitions.
