A festival of patriotic films on Star Gold from today



Patriotic fervour From “Rang De Basanti”

Chips and a couch, and you are ready to celebrate India. Star Gold presents a festival of patriotic films, “Salaam-e-India”, from today to January 26.

On January 21, watch youngsters wake up to the nation’s problems in “Rang de Basanti” (4.30 p.m.). In “Deewar” (January 22, 4.30 p.m.), son Gaurav (Akshay Khanna) rescues father (Amitabh Bachchan) from a Pakistani jail, and along the way finds time for a short romance with Radhika (Amrita Rao). Sunny Deol plays a spy in “The Hero” (January 23, 4 p.m.). Watch “Tiranga” on January 24, 4.30 p.m., featuring Raj Kumar and Nana Patekar. In “Sarhad Paar” (January 25, 5.30 p.m.) Sanjay Dutt plays a soldier who tries to come to terms with the trauma he faced. The festival ends with “Sarfarosh” (January 26, 4 p.m.).
