An opportunity to participate in a documentary film contest
|
A documentary film contest is being organised by the YWCA and Lions Club, Ramnagar. Entries are invited from college students. The film should deal with women-based issues; it should be in DVD format and not longer than 15 minutes in duration. Judges from television, press and the film industry will decide on the three best entries. There is a power point presentation for school students too. They should identify a less known landmark in the city and make a presentation for 10 minutes. The documentaries and presentation on CD should be submitted and registered before January 31. Registration is Rs. 50 per entry. The winning entries will be shown at the Family Utsav organised at the YWCA premises on Avanashi Road. This will include speeches by eminent personalities of the city, tambola, a song and dance entertainment show by college students, a food festival and the power point and documentary film show. The Utsav will be held on February 2 between 3 p.m and 8 p.m. The proceeds will be used for an old age home. For details, call: 0422- 2212306/2213993.
