Catch all the Academy Award-winning movies this month

The countdown to the Oscars has begun and Star Movies and HBO will feature movies that have been honoured by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the past.

On February 2 at 11.05 p.m., watch Pearl Harbour, on February 3 at 11.30 p.m. watch Con Air, on February 4 at 11.25 p.m., Penguins: A Love Story, on February 5 at 11.20 p.m., The Abyss, on February 6 at 11 p.m., Home Alone, Hotel Rwanda on February 7 at 11.05 p.m. On February 8 at 10.45 p.m. watch Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest on February 9 at 11.10 p.m., Predator on February 10 at 10.55 p.m., Crash on February 11 at 11.10 p.m., 102 Dalmations on February 12 at 11.35 p.m., Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate events on February 12 at 10.45 p.m., Pretty Woman on February 14 at 11.25 p.m., Ice Age on February 15 at 11 p.m., The Devil Wears Prada on February 16 at 11.25 p.m., Speed February 17 at 11.20 p.m., Capote on February 18 at 11.20 p.m., Marvin’s Room on February 19 at 11.05 p.m., The Chronicles of Narnia on February 20 at 11 p.m., War Of The Worlds on February 21 at 11.10 p.m., The Lost World: Jurassic Park on February 22 at 10.55 p.m., Life is Beautiful on February 23 at 11.30 p.m. and Die Hard on February 24 at 11.20 p.m.

Star Movies will also telecast live, the 80th Annual Academy Awards on February 25 at 6.30 a.m. with a prime time repeat on the same day at 8 p.m.

*** HBO also will screen 29 Academy Awards celebrated movies from February 1. Some of the movies that will debut in India are Memoirs of a Geisha and Poseidon.

The other award-winning Hollywood blockbusters are The Killing Fields, Brokeback Mountain, Philadelphia, and thriller flick Witness.
