Kebabs are hot in more ways than one

The Residency Towers is hosting the Kebabs and Grills festival till February 10 at The Crown (for dinner only) where you can sample succulent kebabs rich with the taste of Indian spices and flavourful aroma of western style grilled dishes.
A diverse menu offers a wide choice of dishes starting with delicious soups and starters and an array of dishes for the main course. The Crown’s recipes for kebab stretch back to Mughal times. Cooked in tandoors and marinated in Chef’s special herbs and spices mix, kebabs on offer are the Tabrez Jhinga (prawn coated in shahi spices and mint leaves), Mahi Rattan Kebab (fillet of fish seasoned with ginger), Lazeez Raan (leg of lamb skewered in tandoori pot), Subzi Dolli Kebab (mixed vegetables and nuts sheek kebab) and Farah Moti-e-sheek (stuffed mushroom tossed with spicy sauce). Tandoor the Indian restaurant at 4th floor, Aruna Annex, Sterling Road, Nungambakkam presents a Kebab Fest till February 28. The festival offers daily 6 varieties of non-vegetarian and vegetarian kebabs from over a 100 varieties. For non-vegetarians there is an offer of two varieties of chicken kebabs, two of lamb and two of fish while for vegetarians there is an offer of three varieties of paneer kebabs and three varieties of vegetable kebabs. This is followed by dal makhni, briyani and butter naan or roomali roti rounded off with dessert.
Open for dinner the festival is priced at Rs. 375 plus taxes for the non-vegetarian menu and at Rs. 325 plus taxes for the vegetarian menu and Rs. 450 for both. Call 28283636, 28363636 for details.
