Cop story


Mammootty plays cop for the 26th time in his career in the Malayalam film “Rowdram” that was released recently in Kerala. The film is written and directed by Ranji Panikkar, the man famous for films with hard-hitting dialogue, decrying co rruption in high places. Says Mammootty: “I play Narendran, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, who is frustrated with the system and its red tapism. Though he has a tough exterior, he is courteous in his demeanour. You will see a different kind of cop, with a powerful screen presence.”
