ON A MUSICAL TRIP At the launch
The audio release of ITC Productions “Kankalum Kavipaduthe” was held at Radha Park hotel. K. Rajagopal, (KRG) president, South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, presided over the function. “I liked the songs of the film very mu
ch. Director Chandranath has risen to my expectations.” Speaking at the function, director Rama.Narayanan stressed the need for more good films to be made. Yuvan Shankar Raja released the audio while the dignitaries jointly received it.
The music is scored by Ilaiyaraja and all five songs have the maestro’s stamp. The first song ‘Hey Mamu Machi’ is written by Palanibharathi and sung by Karthick, Tippu and Haricharan. A group song, it is rendered well. Another good number is ‘Maalai nila’ by Visali Kannadasan, sung by Ilaiyaraja and Manjari. ‘Naalai Inneram’ written by Mu. Metha and sung by Tippu, Haricharan, Karthick and Anandha Naryanan has good lyrics. ‘Sollumvarai Kaadhal’, written by Pa.Vijay, is a duet sung by Tippu and Manjari. ‘Pottukela Pottu’ written by Muthulingam and sung by Krishnaraj and Malathi lends the album a melodious touch.
