SEWA is back

Of new products at Fab India, Ilford House

SEWA (Lucknow), the Self Employed Women’s Association, is a registered society working for the economic and social empowerment of its women artisans.
Amongst its varied activities was the revival of Chikankari. Today over 5,000 artisans and over 30,000 persons especially women and children benefit from the sale of these products.
In its 23rd year now, SEWA is holding a sale at Fab India, Ilford House, 3 Woods Road, Chennai-2, till February 11 between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The proceeds of the sale go towards SEWA’s millennium development goals of providing supplementary income for artisans, promotion of legal rights, education of marginalised children and micro-finance for the urban poor.
