See the U.K.’s many aspects

Want to go on a vacation to Britain but don’t know how to go about it? Consult Visit Britain, a national tourism agency. Visit Britain recently held a campaign at the Oberoi, New Delhi, which explained a new marketing strategy developed for th e Indian market. This strategy tries to provide tourists with a real taste of Britain, integrating its culture, theatre, music, fashion and sports along with its traditions and natural beauty.

Tourists can take advantage of a planned itinerary based on factors like the duration, affordability and age group. Hundreds of itineraries are available.

Keith Beecham, Visit Britain’s Regional Director – Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa says, “India is the market now, as the Indian middle class is getting stronger and we are helped by positive factors like air connectivity, favourable airfares and hassle-free visa processes. We try to bring to our Indian tourists a broader view, which covers the traditional as well as the contemporary aspects of our life. Blending both of them is going to make sightseeing interesting, and the tourists will love it.” Visit Britain also promotes tourism through its online shops.

Last year reportedly saw a rise of 35 per cent in Indian tourists to Britain. Beecham says, “Our purpose is to achieve a million visitors in the next 10 years.”
