FOUR FRAMES

Comedy thriller

Siddique is a director with a proven track record in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil. He has two films in Tamil to his credit – “Friends” (2001) starring Vijay and “Engal Anna” (2004) starring Vijaykanth. Known for comedy, Siddique is now back after a break in Tamil with “Sadhu Miranda”, the twelfth film in a career spanning 21 years.

He says: “ ‘Sadhu Miranda’ is an investigative thriller with a generous dose of humour. Set against a family backdrop, it is different in presentation and style. Prasanna, the hero, looks like a ‘sadhu’ and is encouraged by Kavya Madhavan, who plays a television anchor. She is a major influence on his life and helps sort out a vexing issue. Abbas and Kotta Srinivasa Rao have negative shades and M.S. Bhaskar and Karnas provide the humour. I’m introducing a new music director, Deepak Dev, whose work has been appreciated.”
