Losing out?


Are Hollywood films losing ground in Chennai and Tamil Nadu, a prime market for English films in India, once upon a time? Even an action-adventure popular in the local market such as Nicolas Cage’s “National Treasure-Book of Secrets” releases in Chennai weeks after its U.S. premiere! “National Treasure” has Cage trying to discover the truth behind the assassination of former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln by unravelling the mystery hidden within the 18 pages missing from the assassin’s diary. It is an exciting film from Walt Disney Productions.
