A different Namitha
“Manada Mayilada”, the popular reality dance show on Kalaignar TV has been making waves in the State Assembly too. It’s about the “provocative dresses” worn by actor Namitha, one of the judges on the show. Last week in the run-up to the semi-final round, Namitha “shocked her fans by discarding her western outfits and coming fully covered in a designer salwar with a dupatta”! Says Namitha: “It was a decision taken by me and Kala Master. We thought that for semi-finals and final episodes, it would be better for me to come in outfits that would appeal to the family audiences”. The semi-final show has been designed as a rain dance and Namitha will appear in a sari. The finals will be held at Nehru Stadium on February 21. The winner will walk with a prize money of Rs.10 lakh. Namitha will be back for season two of the dance show in March, with a new set of dancers.
