Femfest at the Sathyabama University
|
The Sathyabama University organises its cultural carnival “Femfest ’08” from March 7 to 9. There will be a special Women’s Day celebration in the university. The event is open only for girls. It will be inaugurated on March 7
at 4.30 p.m. The main events have been scheduled for Day Two. Onstage events include ‘A Minute Please’ (JAM), ‘Brahmas The Creators’ (sketching), ‘Penduulos’ (block and tackle), ‘Saregama Thakadhimitha’ (classical dance and song), ‘Uzhithaangum Karkal’ (special show), ‘Dhoom Damaka’ (Western dance) and ‘Walkie Talkie’ (fashion show). Off-stage events for Day Two include T-shirt painting, flower carpet, best friends, clay modelling and the art of mehendi.
The events lined up for Day Three include ‘Yemmadi Aathadi’ (folk event), ‘Musical Breeze’ (light music by gaana kuyilgal) and ‘The Secret of Chamber’ (surprise event). The three-day event will conclude with prize distribution.
