Karele ka halwa
Ingredients:
Karela :100 gms
Khoya :250 gms
Sugar :300 gms
Ghee : 50 gms
Dry fruits: (kishmish,kaju,badam) for garnishing
Ilaichi powder: 1tsp
Method:
Peel off skin and grate karelas. Sprinkle about two tablespoons salt and leave aside for seven to eight hours. Wash with plenty of water to remove any leftover salt.Add water and pressure cook for two whistles. Heat kadai, pour ghee, then add grated and boiled karele and sugar. Let water dry then add khoya and illaichi powder to it, cook for some time until it leaves sides. Garnish with dry fruits.
