Food festival



Watalappam, a Sri Lankan sweet

Master Chef Ranheli Pedige Thilakaratne and Chef Pattiyage Siyal Anton Gomes from Taj Samudra, Sri Lanka, have been specially flown down for the Sri Lankan Food Fest from February 10 to 24.

The menu includes kiribath, coconut sambol, mallung, Lamprais, frikkadels, hoppers, lunumiris and Kavun. Some their favourite creations like elumus pol badum (mutton), kakuluva murungakola hodi (crab), polas pahi (baby jack fruit), and watalappam (a sweet mix of coconut milk, jaggery and flavoured with cinnamon and cardamom) will be on the menu.

The festival is open for lunch from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm and for dinner from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm. For reservations, call 6666 9999 Extn. 1929.
