Trek to the Himalayas
As part of Himalayan Adventure Trek 2008, Rotary Mysore Adventure Corps, in association with International Academy of Mountaineering And Allied Sports (IAMAS), will take a team to Chanderkhani Pass in Kulu Manali from May 10 to May
25.
The trekkers will have an orientation session on the trek route and mountaineering techniques, apart from a visit to Roerich Musuem.
The route
The trek will begin at Rumsu at a height of 6,000 feet, and pass through places such as Gon Karari (8,000 feet), Camp Cans Fall (10,00 feet), Pulaga (8,500 feet) before reaching Chanderkhani (13,000 feet).
The adventure programmes include Flying Fox, Commando Net, Cat Crawling, Australian Trolley, Plank Crossing, Rock Climbing, Bridge Swinging and Spider Net.

Those above seven years are eligible to participate.
Only 15 members can take part, and the registration will be on a first-cum first-served basis. The last date for registration is February 25. For more information, call 098451-16835.
