Instead of remembering Saint Valentine, the focus of celebrations is on the abnormal ways of lovers.

Our cultural history and tradition are abound with stories of people who have suffered to unite lovers and we do not even know them. Even god has acted as messenger to bring together two ‘Nayanmar’ lovers.

We have given importance to true love. But celebrating the day as is done now is utterly alien to our culture.
