Attend Pandies theatre’s latest production, Danger Zone, or watch a documentary film

Pandies’ theatre, a Delhi-based activist theatre group is bringing their latest production, “Danger Zones”.
Culled from workshop experiences and original research, the scripts have been written by Anuradha Marwah, Sanjay Kumar and Anand Prakash.
The first play deals with the rights of children, specially distils from recent work in Nithari using Browning’s “The Pied Piper of Hamelin” as a binding thread and reveals the callous hypocrisy of the adult world towards children’s desires.
The other play deals with issues of alternate sexuality and draws on decades of experience of dealing with women’s issues.
This play is based on intensive research, spanning about one year, specifically on lesbian couples in the slums of Delhi.
The episode avoids theorisations as it traverses the travails of a lesbian couple from childhood to middle-age facing the onslaughts of patriarchy (its tools of marriage and family) and right-wing hatred.
The two plays will be performed at Nani Arena, Centre for Film and Drama, 5th Floor, Sona Towers, Millers Road on February 24, at 4 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. Both plays will be followed with a discussion.
Tickets are available at Crossword Bookstore on Residency Road or contact 9880755875/9886928582.

The film captures the spirit of the anti coca cola struggle, traces the history of the struggle and discuss the several issues raised by the struggle.
It also documents the poignant moments of the struggle and share the dreams and sorrows of some of the active participants of the struggle.
