‘Pepsodent Super Dancer Junior’ reaches its grand finale on Sunday

Amrita TV’s dance talent hunt for kids in the age group of 10 to 15, ‘Pepsodent Super Dancer Junior,’ comes to an end on Sunday as the final four contestants dance it out in a grand finale. The show will be telecast live from 6.30 p
.m. The fantastic four who are vying for the crown are all girls: Anna, Nayana, Sheha and Shradha.
The selection of the winner will be based on SMS votes by the viewers.
The three-hour long finale will be held in the city. Actor Roma will shake a leg at the event. A specially choreographed dance by Kala Master comprising contestants of Super Dancer and Super Dancer Junior is a highlight for the event.
The show when announced in mid-2007 had generated over 5,000 aspirants, for which auditions were held in different centres in Kerala and Bangalore – out of which 15 contestants were selected.
Competitive rounds
Over the past few months, under the tutelage of ‘Pepsodent Super Dancer Jury’ comprising renowned choreographer, Kala Master, and actor, Aravindar, these contestants competed in interesting and innovative dance rounds covering various domains: Classical, Semi-Classical, Fusion, Remix, Duet; Festival, DJ, Pairs; Folk and Malayalam Hits to name a few.
The winner takes home a prize worth Rs. 5 lakhs while the runner-up bags a prize of Rs. 3 lakhs.
