FOUR FRAMES

“Jodhaa Akbar” in Tamil

Ashutosh Gowarikar’s “Jodhaa Akbar” is turning out to be a huge hit worldwide. In the first four days of its release, it collected nearly Rs. 39 crore, and has the potential to become a super hit as it has no major competitor till A pril. In Tamil Nadu, it has netted an amazing Rs. 65 lakh from seven screens in 10 days, a feat indeed for a Hindi film which runs for nearly 3 hours and 30 minutes! Now the producers, UTV, who had earlier planned to dub the film into Tamil, are going in for a slicker version of “Jodhaa Akbar" in Tamil and releasing it on Mahasivarathri Day (March 6) all over the State.
