A new idea blossoms

Crystal facial? That’s Blossom Kochchar’s latest

Holistic approach Blossom Kochchar

The woman is unstoppable. After experimenting with volcanic stones and chocolates, aroma-therapist and beautician Blossom Kochhar now introduces a stress-relieving crystal facial.

It took Blossom 10 years of intense research. And now, the message is crystal clear. “Yes, crystals have certain physical properties that can balance out the energies in the body and also tone and relax muscles,” said an unassuming Blossom, during her recent visit to Chennai.

Blossom, was in Chennai to train professionals in crystal facial at a workshop continued, “Crystal is a beauty, mind and soul thing. Clear quartz crystal consists of molecules of silicon di oxide. It belongs to the earth and is thoroughly natural. It can transmit and transform energy.”

Displaying a box of crystals in many shapes, sizes and hues, Blossom said, “It’s a holistic approach to beauty. A crystal facial could take about 45 minutes. We place crystals at the end of the spine, the nape and on the palms while doing the facial. There isn’t much product use for this facial except for light aroma oils and aloe vera gel, because light must pass through the crystals that are used to massage. Cold and hot water is used to create vibrations. It involves simple clock-wise and anti-clockwise massage. There’s a heightened sense of energy flow post-facial. The method is scientific and natural.” Be it mood-enhancers or make-overs, Blossom has experimented with a range of natural products. Her latest is a “pro-line” for professionals. “They are easy to handle and work really fast. They’ve already made it to some parlours in the country. The line includes a variety of cleansers and packs.”

In a hurry to get back to the workshop, Blossom said, “Looking good is also about feeling good. What’s in the mind is reflected in the face. So stay positive. Then more than half your beauty woes are naturally overcome!”
