Celebrating flower power


Kalanjiyam is celebrating Women’s Day on March 8 with a slew of programmes aimed at bringing out the creative side of women.

Called ‘Magalir Sangaman’, it will feature events such as Deepanjali, an exhibition of floral lamps, flower arrangements and demonstrations using various materials.

Here’s your chance to see traditional ikebana, freelance arrangements, dry flower decorations and more.

Also being held are contests to test your ability to string flowers, apply mehndi, paint on fabrics and play traditional games.
