Polly of Indian rock

Palash Sen on his new movie and album

THE RIGHT NOTE Palash Sen

Almost a decade ago, when Palash Sen and his pals of Euphoria rocked the nation with their chart topping debut album ‘Dhoom’. It marked the beginning of a new chapter in Indian Rock ’n’ Roll. After three more studio albums and one hit single, Euphoria is still India’s most loved rock act.

The band is now all set to release its first ever compilation album. Titled ‘Re-Dhoom,’ the compilation consists of Euphoria’s 10 best tracks.

Palash, “Polly” to his band-mates, has managed to prove himself as a jack of all trades time and again. He recently finished shooting for his second movie ‘Mumbai Cutting’ — a movie about the Mumbai rains directed by Manish Jha. Palash, who plays the lead role in this movie, says he chose to act in this film only because of its strong script. This is Palash’s second appearance on the silver screen, the previous one being Meghna Gulzar’s directorial debut ‘Filhaal’.

As the name suggests, Dr. Palash Sen never has no plans to bid adieu to his first love — medicine. A humble Palash says, “Earlier, I used to go to see people. Now people come to see me.”
