Vasavi students celebrate ‘Traditional Day’

Fun way Engineering students go the desi way

It is always a pleasure to see youngsters making an effort to keep alive our tradition to make it a part of the college celebrations. Students of Vasavi College of Engineering pledged by their ethnic identity and decided to celebrate ‘our culture, our tradition, our values and togetherness.’

Waving aside the western outfit, the students, dressed in traditional attire, lit up the college. Various games and amusing events were organised to get the youngsters close to the roots. With events like matki tod, Kite flying, dandiya and many more, the day seemed to be a lot of fun.

What looked interesting and for the most part amusing about these events was the values and significance of our traditions, which the students took time to catch a glimpse. The Traditional Day celebration is seen as a precursor to the forthcoming annual college festival, ‘Euphoria’, slated for March 14-6, with various bands such as Euphoria performing on 14 , Bandish Projekt on 15 and The Raghu Dixit Project on 16. With so much fun in the offing, the mood is certainly upbeat.
