Chak De on Sony TV


Sony TV has pulled off a coup. It is holding the television premiere of the most talked about film in recent times “Chak De! India” on Easter Sunday, March 23, 8 p.m.

The path-breaking film features Shah Rukh Khan as the coach of a women’s hockey team. A full-fledged sports movie well crafted by Shimit Amin, “Chak De” stirs patriotism and was one of the big hits of 2007. Sony TV, which has an exclusive tie-up with Yash Raj films, the producers, is going to make it an event.

The marketing agencies are predicting that “Chak De” will have the biggest ever television audience in Asia.

Sony’s strategy of investing in blockbusters seems to be paying off.
