Noise pollution

Playing film songs in business places as a measure of advertisement, playing cassettes of religious songs in places of worship as a measure of celebration of festivals and loudspeaker noise at public meetings organised by political parties and announcements in vans or autos cause nuisance and noise pollution. All of them divert the attention of students preparing for their examinations. There should be a total ban on these systems in the months of March and April every year. The ban should be from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. during these months to enable the students to concentrate on their preparation. The ban should also extend to the volume of loudspeakers.

Sampath,

Tiruchi-6.
