Simran rules
Simran is all over Tamil television now. Last week, she had back to back premieres of her “Simran Thirai” on Jaya TV and “Super Stars” on Sun TV. Simran is the first TV personality to have two shows running in two rival chann
els at the same time. In “Super Stars” (Sun TV, Sunday 9 p.m.), a talent hunt show to choose a future Kollywood hero and heroine, Simran is the judge, while Vijay Adiraj is the compere.
The show is directed by Ramkumar. The winner will be given a chance to act in a film being produced by the Silverline Film Factory, the makers of “Super Stars”.
Says Simran: “It is a unique attempt to unearth fresh talent for Kollywood.
The producers are planning it as a 52-episode reality show.” Simran says there is no clash of interests between “Simran Thirai” and “Super Stars”, both are in different genres and will have their own audiences.
