Easter Time
Come Easter, the quintessential Easter goodies like chocolate eggs and bunnies, Easter special cakes, pastries and hot-cross buns make a grand appearance at Ye Old Bakery – the pastry shop at The Claridges, New Delhi. The Easter goodies will be available till March 23. There is an Easter brunch, 11.30 a.m. onwards, on the last day featuring Easter goodies and international favourites. Blooms at InterContinental Eros at Nehru Place also has a special Easter brunch on Sunday, which will have delicious sea food variety. At Gourmet Shop at Uppal’s Orchid, you can savour special Easter goodies like floral eggs, peach leaf pie, Eastern simnel cake, Swedish Easter ring, half n half eggs, almond breads and more. Open till March 24. Café Uno at Shangri-La hotel too has an Easter brunch with unlimited champagne and house wines. And 19 Oriental Avenue has an unending selection of delicacies, champagne and wines.
Holi Special
This Holi, at The Chutney at The Metropolitan Hotel, you can enjoy some traditional delicacies like sitaphal ki subzi, kadi pakori, aloo ki subzi, yellow dal tadka, poori raita, jalebi and of course the quintessential Holi sweet the ‘gujjia’ concocted with delectable fillings of mawa and mewa. Open this Friday and Saturday for both lunch and dinner. Price Rs.750 plus taxes with a glass of wine. The outlets of Crazy Noodles offer a variety of oriental salads, side dishes including chicken and vegetable dumplings, teppanyaki, a wide variety of rice and noodles preparations and desserts.
The Terrace Garden Lounge and Bar at TDI Mall, Rajouri Garden has a ‘Dasterkhan-E-Rang’ food festival on till March 23 offering some hand-picked Holi dishes along with a wide variety of Hindustani specials like bhatta da murg, dahi ki pasliyaan, dum ka murg, galouti kabab and more.

Experience premium rare catches from the seven seas as they come alive with Signature Specials at Ploof restaurant in Lodi Colony. Choose from a selection of freshly shucked oysters from the Arabian, served ‘naturale’ on ice with a bloody Mary dip to lobsters from Maine baked to perfection ala thermidor with hints of cheese and highlights of cognac. Other attractions include aromatic platefuls of Pan seared Hokkaido scallops served on a bed of grilled sea bass, Alaskan king crab, etc. Open for both lunch and dinner, an average meal for two is priced at Rs.1200 approximately.
Punjabi Delights
At Panoramic, the multi-cuisine restaurant at Atrium Hotel & Conferencing, you can relish the delicious “Swad-e-Punjab”, a lavish buffet spread of regional Punjabi specialities like tandoori kukkad, fish Amritsari and live Amritsari chole-kulcha counter. The ten-day festival beginning this Friday and the dinner buffet is priced at Rs.699 plus taxes per person.
Wine Buffet
The Village Restaurant complex at Siri Fort Road has introduced a new concept – a wine buffet. From Chardonnay to Riesling, from Merlot to Bordeaux, you name anything the restaurant has it for you.
You can experience all this at Colors N Spice, Tonic and Chopsticks daily from 7.30 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.
