Examination time is when most elections and temple festivals are slated. The loudspeakers fixed for a series of political meetings are never removed. Though the meetings are conducted near commercial places, the public address system is fixed in residential areas at short intervals. Adding to the woes, the rallies have become an order of the day. This takes a toll on students’ health, who suffer from examination pressure. A seasonal ban on use of public address system is mandatory to set things right.
