City of Women
The Cochin Film Society will screen Federico Fellini’s ‘City of Women’ at the Cochin Media School, Ernakulam, on March 25 at 6 p.m. In this 1980 film Marcelo Mastroianni, Fellini’s alter-ego, plays a man who voyages through female and male spaces toward a confrontation with his own attitudes toward women and his wife.
SS Bhatnagar Oration
Dr. Achuth Shankar S. Nair will deliver the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Memorial Oration, organised by the Centre for Science Communication, Cochin University of Science and Technology at the Dept. of Electronics Auditorium on March 24 at 2.30 p.m.
He will talk on ‘Future of Science and Technology; Predictions and Fantasies’.
