Benefits only a few

When there are many other options for investment, why invest in real estate?

The inflow of money as investment in real estate leads to escalation in land prices.

The investment benefits only the person who is doing real estate business. The middle class forms a large section of society that may not be able to afford to buy a house or a flat.

I personally feel investment in real estate deprives many from enjoying their own dwelling. It would be better to look at alternative investment options as well.
