Just the right brew

Prepare for a bigger slice, a better sip of America in India. Foreign brands continue to make their presence in the Capital more prominent. After Baskin Robbins and Barista, the chain of restaurants, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is here.

Noted Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty, who inaugurated the restaurant at Select City Walk Mall in Saket. says , “We need a few more places like this instead of bars.” In fact, Shetty is among the few Bollywood actors who prefer to have his coffee at the ‘The Bean.’

Sunil Kapoor CEO, Blue Foods, which has collaborated with the tea and coffee chain for its India venture, says, “In Hollywood, stars like Britney Spears, Madonna and Brad Pitt come down to The Bean, so we thought it would be appropriate to invite a Bollywood star to inaugurate the restaurant here.” On his part, Shetty says, “The coffee is good and the ambience too.”

The pioneers of the ice-blended beverage promise to offer a wide variety of speciality tea and coffee. The Bean also has a breakfast menu and all-day dining options, serving gourmet sandwiches, salads, pastas (vegetarian and non-vegetarian), puffs, cakes, ice-blended coffee drinks and drinks without coffee, especially for kids.

Kapoor says, “It is the premium coffee store in India with competitive prices. We are planning to open a store every month across India.” The Delhi store has a seating capacity of 150 with separate arrangements for indoor and outdoor meetings. The prices begin at Rs.50 for a cup of coffee and Rs.95 for a cup of tea.
