A super hit


NDTV’s primetime blockbuster epic “Ramayan”, produced by Sagar Arts, the family that introduced mythology on television, has become a rage all over the country. It has the Indian audience hooked and tops the TRP ratings. It garnered a debut rating of 1.8 (on January 21) which went up to 2.09 on January 23, a record for a new channel. On Sunday, March 2, NDTV Imagine had a treat in store for its viewers as it telecast “Ramayan” non-stop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.! The Tamil dubbed version being aired on Sun TV on Sundays at 10.30 a.m. is also a hit and is likely to appear soon in other southern languages of the network.
