The International Centre for Koodiyattam, Tripunithura, will honour Koodiyattam artistes, P. K. Narayanan Nambiar and Ammannur Kochukuttan Chakyar who were conferred the Padmashri award at a function to be held at the Rugmini Kalyanamandapam, Layam G
round, Tripunithura, on March 30 at 4.30 p.m.
This will be followed by Thoranayudham Koodiyattam in which Kalamandalam Sivan Namboodiri, Kalamandalam Krishnakumar and Painkulam Narayana Chakyar will don the main roles.
Veena recital
A veena recital by A. Ananthapadmanabhan will be held under the aegis of the Sree Poornathrayeesa Sangeetha Sabha at the Kalikota Palace, Tripunithura on March 31 at 6.15 p.m. He will be accompanied on the mridangam by K. Jayakrishnan and on the ghatom by Kottayam Unnikrishnan.
