New space for art

The business of art gets better, in the city, with a new entrant, Joseph Chakola, an artist and a businessman. He opens Ishka, his art gallery, on Canon Shed Road today.

Joseph has the advantage of being the son of the late John Chakola, a businessman and an artist himself, better known by the pen name Laxman Pandit.

“Ishka is a realisation of my dreams. But I consider myself more of an artist than a gallery owner,” says Joseph for whom Ishka is a gallery with a difference.

Ishka, done professionally and artistically, is excellent space for art. This space will be used for all performing arts besides painting exhibitions and art installations.
