Amazing Amazon
Sofia House of Tourism, touted to be the only exploratory holiday company in India, is now ready with an Amazon riverboat expedition for the discerning Indian traveller. The company has recently won the rights in India from Green Tracks, USA, to offer Indians a view of the Amazon, which the environmentalists have dubbed as ‘the lungs of the planet’.
GreenTracks is a well-known for its ecotourism and adventure expeditions. Its services are used by National Geographic, the British and Canadian Broadcasting Systems, and the Discovery Channel among others.
Most GreenTracks riverboat expeditions travel to one of three regions Sofia is currently exploring. These are the Rio Tigre region, the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve and its newest area of study, the Rio Tapiche system. “No matter what the destination of the riverboat expedition, tourists are assured a high quality experience of the ‘real’ Amazon,” the company promises.
Asad Siddiqui, CEO, Sofia House of Tourism, claims, “This is your best opportunity to see the magic of the rainforest and the Amazon River with a company that is known world-wide for its intimate knowledge of this exotic land. You have our assurance that you will have an experience of a lifetime”.
A trip to the Amazon rainforests by boat will cost $1995, with an additional $200 for single supplement. This cost does not include airfare to the departure city of Lima (Peru).
The expedition lasts for a week (Sunday to Saturday). The price includes all services from Sunday to Saturday.
