The proposal to use the site near Mattuthavani bus stand for omnibuses is welcome. Most city roads are nor wide enough for accommodating the increasing traffic. That is why the central bus stand was shifted to Mattuthvani. But number of city bus routes have also increased and more buses have to be provided space at Periyar bus stand complex. Much space is occupied by the omnibuses. Operating omnibuses from Mattuthavani will help to reduce the heavy city traffic.
