Advantageous

It is a welcome move that a terminal is planned for omnibuses at Mattuthavani. In this case, the idea of having facilities under one roof has more advantages than disadvantages. The proposed step would strengthen further the centralised bus operation. The public who alight or depart at Mattuthavani will greatly be benefited by the terminal as it saves the trouble of going to different places for different destinations. Also, there will be less traffic congestion especially on the roads and lanes from where omnibuses are being operated now. The bus operators who have agreed to the new arrangement are to be appreciated. The local administration also needs to be appreciated for persuading the bus operators. It is important that all essential services are provided without any laxity, keeping in mind the needs of thousands of passengers who use Mattuthavani bus station round the clock.

T.Smiles,

Madurai.
