Self-assessment for property tax revision: Voice your views

It is a long awaited welcome step. Property owners should come forward to have their property evaluated and pay a little more tax to the authorities in their own interest. This would help them get better amenities from the Government.

Better roads and drainage facilities need funds. If we are going to pay the same tax amount what we were paying years ago, we would be deprived of all these facilities. So it is for us to pay the taxes and demand the amenities that would be provided in the near future. A laudable move on the part of the Sate Government to announce that local bodies can increase the tax only if there is dearth of funds. It is really warranted for the betterment of our area and we as responsible citizens are ready to pave way for it.
