Criminal season

Crime time A new season of CSI unfolds

AXN is presenting the premiere of the eighth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The eight season continues from the startling cliffhanger finale of season seven, where CSI Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) gets personally attacked by a serial killer out for revenge. While Sara lays motionless under a car in the desert, the CSI team races to rescue her by relying on a single clue that the serial killer leaves for them. This turn of events has certainly shaken Las Vegas’ world-weary and seasoned CSIs, including the ever cool team leader, Gil Grissom (William Petersen) who lets his secret relationship with Sara out of the bag! Other CSIs will have to face their colourful past and not so clear-cut personal lives. The sexy Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) might just be heading towards a new direction in her life altogether, while Warrick Brown (Gary Doudan) goes head to head with the remnants of the old Vegas mob, and Grissom investigates a global bee epidemic. Nick Stokes (George Eads), senses that his “family” is in a funk and fights to maintain their unity.

Expect a new CSI joining the experts this season too. Fresh out of school, with an abundance of energy and enthusiasm and a sad dearth of experience, this new member’s enthusiasm will quickly wear on her mentor. Will the team continue to stand tall and taut against the evils of Las Vegas crime? Tune in to season eight of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on AXN on April 7 at 11 p.m.
