No more of that now, Bappu’s Baby Shop on PT Usha Road is just what Kochi needed, a baby shop which is just that – it caters to babies. It is the kind of place that makes you yearn for the pitter-patter of baby feet, and if you have babies then the place to shop for them.
Well-chosen ensemble
The shop, which recently opened, has the kind of décor in warm hues would induce shopping. As you get down to the business, what is striking is the attention to detail. If plastic shopping baskets remind of supermarket queues there are well thought out cane baskets to pile your booty. This is the place where the price tags do not really scare you, the prices in fact are reasonable. The merchandise has been chosen with a lot of care for instance there are mosquito nets that are baby friendly with no sharp edges, foldable – folded it goes right into a bag.
Talking of USP, the baby shop has several – cleanliness, variety, exclusivity and reasonable prices. These are hard to come by in a single place. All things that your baby needs – right from the first day up to age six. The store is tastefully done, and the garments are hung on baby hangers, and are on display on racks as well. For those who do not fancy the open ones they can pick from the ones that are in covers.
Toys, baby cribs, prams, baby clothes, cycles, bikes (yes, tiny cycles like mobikes), bottles, flasks, sippers, baby bowls, toy cars (which look like miniature versions of the real things), bags, chairs, potties – you want it? You may find it there. And the good news is that there’s ample parking space.
